I love the message of this classic hymn by John Foote, especially as we prepared to learn about the Passover, but the melody is typically sung far too lively and bouncy for the words, in my opinion. This new melody gives the verses a more thoughtful, contemplative feel, while keeping the original chorus and its joyfulness.
